Hot Buttered Rum

A Traditional Holiday Favorite--Keep Batter On Hand to Enjoy Any Time!
Ingredients :
  • 3/4 cup C&H Pure Cane Golden Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 tsp. lemon rind, finely grated
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice, ground
  • rum
  • water, boiling
  • cinnamon sticks (optional)
Directions :
  1. In a small mixing bowl blend together brown sugar, butter or margarine, lemon peel, cinnamon and allspice. Beat until well combined. Use immediately or cover and chill up to 1 month. For one serving, place 1 rounded tablespoon of the butter mixture in a mug. Add 3 tablespoons rum and ½ cup boiling water, Stir well. Serve Hot Buttered Rum in mugs with cinnamon sticks, if desired
