Ginger Cookies

Ingredients :
  • 1 cup Packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Applesauce
  • 1/4 cup Molasses
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/4 cup sugar
Directions :
  1. In large bowl, beat together brown sugar, applesauce, molasses and egg until smooth.
  2. In separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients (except granulated sugar).
  3. Stir into the wet mixture.
  4. Cover and refigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. Form dough into small balls, then roll in sugar and place 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 10-15 minutes.
  8. Remove and cool on a rack.
