A Spicy, Delicious, Yet Easy-to-Make, Cookie Recipe Sure to Please Everyone
Ingredients :
- 1 tbsp. ginger, ground
- 1/2 tsp. pepper, ground
- 1/2 tsp. allspice, ground
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 cup butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup C&H Pure Cane Golden or Dark Brown Sugar, packed
- 6 tbsp. molasses
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup C&H Pure Cane Granulated Sugar
Directions :
- Mix spices, salt, flour and baking soda in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in molasses and egg. Slowly beat in flour mixture until just combined. Turn out onto plastic wrap, wrap and freeze for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F. Scoop dough by the teaspoon and roll into balls. Roll balls of cookie dough in granulated sugar. Place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Flatten. Bake at for 12 to 15 minutes or until brown, rotating parchment sheets after 7 minutes. Cool.
- NOTE: If dough becomes difficult to work with, place back in freezer to chill.
