Chocolate Almond Frosting

Makes enough frosting for one cake layer
Description :
A Rich, Fudgy, Nutty Frosting for that Special Cake
Ingredients :
  • 4 oz. chocolate, semisweet, melted (4 squares)
  • 2 oz. chocolate, unsweetened, melted (2 squares)
  • 1 cup C&H Pure Cane Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine (1/2 stick) softened
  • 1 tbsp. almond liqueur, brandy or vanilla
  • 1/2 cup almonds, sliced and toasted
Directions :
  1. In medium bowl, beat all ingredients except sliced almonds 5 minutes or until smooth. Frost cake. Pat almonds around sides of cake.
  2. Hint: Recipe can be doubled for a two-layer cake
