Coconut Pecan Frosting

Frosts 9x13 or two 9 inch layers
Ingredients :
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Dash salt
Directions :
  1. In saucepan, beat egg slightly.
  2. Stir in milk, sugar, butter or margarine, and salt.
  3. Cook and stir over medium heat 10-12 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
  4. Stir in coconut and pecans.
  5. Cool thoroughly.
  6. Spread on cake.
