Holiday Baked Oysters

Ingredients :
  • 2 packages crushed Saltine Crackers
  • 3 cans Whole Oysters, drain, reserving liquid
  • 1 Stick Butter Or Margarine, melted
  • 2/3 cup Evaporated Milk
  • Milk
  • Black Pepper; to taste
Directions :
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In large bowl, combine crackers, drained oysters, melted butter and black pepper to taste.
  3. Stir gently until well blended.
  4. Add evaporated milk to reserved oyster liquid to make 2 cups.
  5. Pour into cracker-oyster mixture.
  6. Stir gently to mix well.
  7. Spoon mixture into lightly greased casserole dish.
  8. Pour enough milk over mixture to make it texture soupy.
  9. Milk should be to top of mixture. Don't be afraid to add enough milk
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
