Beef Burgundy

Ingredients :
  • 2 1/2 lb stew meat, tenderized
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup
  • 16 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 2 large chopped Onions
  • 1 package Dry onion soup mix
  • 3/4 cup Burgundy wine
  • Dash Cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic salt
  • Pepper to taste
Directions :
  1. Place meat in roasting pan.
  2. Combine rest of ingredients and pour over meat.
  3. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 3-1/2 to 4 hours.
  4. Keep uncovering, if needed, to minimum to hold in flavor.
  5. Serve over rice or noodles.

This was an excellent dish. Very tasty! I purchased the diced onions and sliced mushrooms at the store so it took me less than 20 minutes to prepare and put in the oven.
